Arsenal Fails Again

It's been another long season for Arsenal supporters, and especially a hard time in the last month. One month ago, Arsenal had the possibility to do the quadruple. However, in the weeks that followed, things spiraled downhill.
It all started with the infamous howler by Wojiech Szcenzy at Birmingham City. Arsenal were heavy favorites entering the Carling Cup final, but the Blues put up a fight. With minutes to go, the score was in the balance at one goal apieced and it appeared to be heading for extra time. But when Stephen Carr hit a routine long ball, it all went wrong. Laurent Koscielny made a huge mess of it and had a communication breakdown with his keeper Szcezny.Szcezny should have easily caught the ball despite the slip, but instead he fumbled it right to Obafemi Martins. Martins was in the right place at the right time, and had the simplest of finishes to win the Carling Cup for Birmingham City.
Arsenal fans were heartbroken. This was their best chance to win some silverware, and they had squandered it. Wenger tried to keep his head up, and just hoped that they could learn from their mistakes (more like one howler) and move on.
Arsenal down to 3 competitions.
Next Arsenal lost in the FA Cup and the fans couldn't believe it. Then Arsenal had to play Barcelona in the Champions League. They put in a good first leg performance, winning 2-1 thanks to goals from van Persie and the little Russian Arshavin.Arsenal fans were holding there heads high, and now Wenger was explaining how the Carling and FA Cups were nonimportant, that the Champions League was far more valuable (Like he'd be saying that if Arsenal had won either competition). Anyway, Arsenal got stomped on in typical Barcelona fashion. The Catalan side held the ball and picked their passes, and ultimately won 4-3 on aggregate.
That left one competion for Arsenal, the Premier League. They had performed in the Prem well this season, and were only 2 points off the pace set by leaders Man Utd. Arsenal had a game in hand and also faced Man Utd in the title run-in. Costly slips at Blackburn and other clubs left Arsenal to float 8 points adrift from Utd, in their current position. Looks like Arsenal won end their trophy drought. Down with Arsenal, up with the Reds!!!! Anfield is rocking again with renewed hope from Kenny Dalglish and Luis Suarez.
